This past Sunday, The Nerd Mafia held its first event ever, Star Trek Day TO, a complete day of Star Trek-related content, including trivia, movies, music and more! Alright, not all of it was directly linked to Star Trek, but it was still a load of nerd fun. The day began (slightly off-schedule due to the weather) with a short overview of the franchise and moved on to intense Star Trek trivia, best suited for hardcore fans, a costume contest and a showing of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek reboot. But there was more in store as the evening approached, with live performances galore! From our perspective, it was a great way to kick off what will hopefully be Nerd Mafia events for years to come, but we understand that there is always room for improvement. We’re looking forward to what the future has in store for The Nerd Mafia. And who knows, maybe we’ll actually manage to get off our lazy butts and help plan the next event… when that time comes.
